Introducing the story art card, with an 8.5 x 11 inch photographic image on the front, and hand written story written on the inside front cover of the card. The card comes complete with an envelope and makes a very special gift. The image is mounted on a sturdy Bristol board and hand scored. It stand beautifully,

I started this piece about fifteen years ago. And then some other inspiration stole my attention.  I completed the piece just yesterday! It was always about freedom.

Recently with the pandemic, I was thinking about my Dad, Joe Mallin.  When he was a child he had polio.  My Zeyde  told me a story about this when I was a girl.

The story goes, that my Dad went into the forest by himself. He went deep into the forest to the lake.  He took off the brace and threw it in the lake, and crawled home on his hands and knees, determined to live without the braces.

I was enthralled with admiration when heard this story.

So I have now completed this painting, and dedicate it to my Dad.  For his courage to break free of his shackles.

He is the big blossom, and I am the small cute one tagging on.

You may purchase the original painting if still available or a print on archival fine art inkjet paper that has a beautiful texture.
