About the Artist – Pamela Holl Hunt

Pamela Holl Hunt is an abstract artist based in Port Alberni, British 
Columbia.

Born in Newcastle-on-Tyne in England on July 20, 1945, Pamela received a classical and international arts education, studying life drawing at the Academie Julian in (1964), etching and printmaking at the Atelier 17 with Stanley William Hayter (1964-65), Hornsey College of Art in London (1966-68), antique furniture restoration and decoration with Jean Hornak on the Isle of Wight (68-71).  In Brussels, Belgium she painted still life at Les Beaux Arts along with art history at the Musee Cinquantenaire in Brussels. (1972-1974) In 1999 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Pamela took a course in Applied Color Theory and another called Symphonic Composition, both by Michael Britton at the Vancouver Academy of Art.

An abstract painter known for her deeply expressive and spiritually resonant work. Guided by intuition and emotion, her paintings explore the inner landscapes of the human experience—layering color, movement and texture creating pieces that feel both personal and universal.
