Mixed Media on Archival Paper

In this piece, tulips of all stages, rise and lean as if drawn toward a luminous horizon. Their soft pink petals catch the moonlight, glowing against a deep blue sky that hums with quiet energy. When the painting was complete, I felt the flowers were journeying together—moving toward an unknown place, guided by their drive to survive.

I think we are all Moonlit Travelers.

Medium: Watercolor, crayon, and ink

Artwork Image Size: 11 x 17 inches on a 12 x 18-inch surface. 

The actual paper is 140-pound Strathmore cold pressed watercolor paper, folded in half like a giant art card to accommodate an alternate display style: The oversized, acid‑free watercolor paper acts as a natural frame, making the piece easy to display on a shelf, easel, or within a  frame.

Finish: Light texture from crayon and ink adds depth and character to the soft watercolor forms.
