📘 What’s inside?
How to Make Good Choices is a beautifully simple booklet that teaches kids how to make their own good decisions. It is a simplified version of the book "The Way to Happiness"
It contains 21 non-religious common-sense moral guidelines for living an ethical, productive life—and shows how this leads to personal happiness.
- 🧠 Builds decision-making skills
- 💖 Encourages self-respect and empathy
- 🛡️ Helps kids resist negative peer pressure
- 🎯 Supports confident, values-based choices
- 🌍 Works for all socioeconomic backgrounds
“I used these principles in raising my kids, and it helped them navigate the world with certainty. When the drama club wanted to go out and get drunk after the play, our daughters invited them to a clean and sober party at our house. They weren’t fooled by those who could profit from them making bad choices.”

This is a great book. It's like a compass show me how to act in life so I can have better life and create better life. Most importantly is EVERYONE can follow !
I have worked with preschool children for over 20 years and have applied these principles with them on a daily basis. For instance, I have used precept 20 "Try to treat others as you would want them to treat you" to assist in conflict resolution between children and find that it's such a basic concept that even young children can grasp it rather easily and it helps solve the problem. Also, I am a mother of two small children under 3 years old and I often find myself using the data in The Way to Happiness booklet to explain to my child the importance of getting a good night sleep, eating well and taking care of his body. It makes getting his willingness to do these things a lot easier and things just run more smoothly.
My son's teacher told us that he has been hitting other children and yelling at the teachers. I've been using the precepts in this book to help him understand what kinds of actions will make himself and those around him happy. He is very young but is beginning to be thoughtful and self-determined about his behavior. He really is learning to make good choices. This is a very good book for children of all ages.
